We are a quiet, friendly site. We don't take group bookings, and we never over book. This ensures that you and our other guests have a lovely, peaceful stay. A maximum of 2 pitches, with 1 camping unit on each, can be reserved per 'group' (no more than 4 adults in any 'group'). We are unable to accommodate large motorhomes or jumbo tents on our grass field site. Tents, motorhomes, caravans and campervans up to a maximum external length of 6.5m are welcome. When taking tent and caravan bookings we assume you are bringing one standard car. Our car park is set up to take standard cars rather than large towing vehicles or vans. If your towing vehicle or camping unit is unique, bespoke, or large, please discuss this with us at the time of booking. As a grass field site we may not be able to accommodate 'unusual' vehicles. If in doubt ask. We have limited hardstanding pitches off the field for use by larger units or for general use in inclement weather.
We respectfully ask that you only reserve the nights that you definitely want to stay with us for. We take a deposit at the time you book your pitch. If you do need to cancel this is refundable or transferable as long as you give us at least 30 days' notice, otherwise it is not. You will pay the balance for the remaining nights two weeks before arrival which is not refundable after payment.
Please Note - There is a Clean Air Zone in and around Bradford and possibly other areas for certain types of vehicle. Please check your route to and from site and for any excursions you are planning during your stay to ensure you are aware of any charges that might apply to you. Unfortunately we are not able to offer advice as to routes and exclusions, so please do make your own checks.
Arrival is between 2pm and 7pm and check out is by 11am. If you need a later check out, please ask and we will advise you if this is possible. We regret we cannot always accomodate requests for late check out and we do not have anywhere else on site that you can park for the day so late check out might incur paying for an additional night's stay.
On arrival please check in at the cafe or house. We will show you to your pitch and indicate the boundarys. Please ensure your camping unit, including guy ropes, are within your pitch boundary for everyone’s safety and comfort. If you are not sure where the boundary is please ask before pitching up. This will avoid the potential inconvenience of having to move equipment later. Campers arriving after dusk wil be pitched on a hardstanding area off the field for the first night of their stay.
Visitors are permitted during cafe opening hours only.
All visitors must check in at the cafe on arrival. They will be allocated a parking, where applicable. They should not drive onto the camping field at any time. Visitors may not arrive before 9am. No visiting is permitted on Wednesdays, Thursdays. During Bank Holiday weekends or during other very busy periods we may restrict access to the camping pitches for visitors. If we have accepted a booking for adjoining pitches from you, you will not be able to have any visitors to the field during your stay but we can recommend some lovely places offsite for you to meet additional friends and family members.
We limit vistors to site to ensure that all campers can enjoy a peaceful break. Please do not be offended if we cannot accept visitors at certain times.
You are of course welcome to meet up with friends and family in the cafe garden during opening hours without notifying us, should you wish to. There are also many fabulous places locally to meet up offsite.
Please leave gates as you find them (i.e. locked, unlocked, open, closed) and respect the 'private' signs. The main site gate will be locked at 9pm. It has a combination lock so you can get through at any time, just please lock it again after you. The pedestrian gate at the top of the site, to access the public footpaths, is left permanently locked for your security. It can be accessed using the site gate code provided on arrival.
Bookings assume one vehicle will be brought to site. All non-camping vehicles will be allocated a parking space in the car park. We appreciate your co-operation with our parking arrangements.
Please note - Only properly converted campervans are permitted on campervan pitches and vehicles of any kind are not permitted on tent pitches.
We appreciate you helping to maintan the beauty and good condition of the camping field by minimising vehicle movement on and off the field. Cars are not permitted on the field except when pitching a caravan and on check out for caravan towing. Please note that no vehicle movement on or off the field is permitted between the hours of 10pm and 7am
Please ensure that noise around the site and on your pitch is kept to a minimum at all times and that your pitch is silent after 11pm to ensure a good night's rest for all.
For everyone's safety, please observe the 5mph site speed limit. The road is single track and there are animals and people wandering freely.
If you want to barbeque, please ensure you use a grass protector under the legs of your barbeque, and that it is kept under control. If you need bricks to rest a disposable barbeque on, please take them from the shower block store and return them after use. Cold barbeque coals and extinguished cigarettes should be placed in the metal bucket next to the bins. Firepits are not permitted at any time due to our proximity to open moorland. Barbequing and open fires are not permitted on the moors at any time.
All our facilities are provided for your convenience, please ensure that you and your children use them responsibly (including the toilet and shower facilities). We are not on mains drains and therefore you need to take extra care not to put anything down the toilets except toilet paper to avoid closure of facilities for repairs. Some areas are marked as private. Thank you for observing these signs and not accessing these areas.
We value your children's safety highly. Please make yourselves aware of potential hazards onsite. There is a pond area on the camping field and access to the moors directly from the site. We request that you actively supervise children, particularly within the carpark areas as well as around the site generally.
Please keep all dogs on a lead, supervised, and under control. and respect other campers' space. A maximum of 3 dogs per pitch are permitted.
At different times of the year there are ground nesting birds and other farm animals nearby so please respect their home.
Please keep the site tidy and remove any waste, including dog waste, immediately and place in the appropriate bins. Please leave the site in the same condition you found it. All camping equipment, including empty gas cannisters and broken/unwanted equipment, should be taken home with you, we do not have the means to dispose of these for you.
We appreciate the use of polite, friendly, and respectful language on site. We want everyone to feel relaxed and at ease during their stay.
